Letters to Dr. Richa Katiyar regarding IVF in Delhi
I am writing this e-mail in regards of Ivf treatment. i am Afzal (name changed),36 years old from Abu Dhabi. In 2011 we went to Gp and he recommend me to go to the hospital for semen analysis and the result shows that abnormal and low sperm count and the doctor said that try natural process for couple of months .Then after in 2013 i went to ivf Doctor and the doctor did the semen analysis and said you have a low sperm count and suggested for ivf. I and my wife(23) did all the process and on the day of embryo transfer doctor said that there is no head on my semen so all the process has been stopped. I would like to know that how is the chance of changing or coming new semen?and chance of baby if i don't have a head on my semen ? which is the best time for the treatment ,do you have any particular time or i can come at any time ? and can you please tell me the roughly cost for this process. Regards Mr. Afzal Ali Hello Mr. Ashok,
Sorry to learn that you and your wife are having difficulty in having a baby. If the sperms (semen) does not have head, then it is not possible to do IVF-ICSI with this sperm. When you are here, I will ask my Embryologist to check your semen one more time. If he thinks it can be used, then we will, otherwise we will think of an alternative. This appears to be the best course of action. If your wives periods are coming regularly, you can plan to come on day 1 of periods or a few days earlier. I do some blood tests on day 2 of periods and then treatment starts. Total duration of stay is between 14 to 18 days.. Feel free to contact me for any further queries.
